Paul Buchanan is our special guest at this exclusive by-invitation lunch in Sydney.

Paul is an economist with many years experience in the planning, economic and financial appraisal of a wide range of public and private sector transport investments and policies. He has specialist skills in the appraisal of rail and highway projects in the United Kingdom and overseas.

Paul has advised on public private partnerships for expressways, urban toll roads and metro and light rail projects representing existing and potential concessionaires, financiers and governments. In the rail sector in London his experience includes the Jubilee Line Extension and most recently CrossRail.

Based in London, Paul is a highly respected strategic transport sector practitioner and was Managing Director of Colin Buchanan & Partners Ltd until the firm’s recent merger with SKM. His international experience includes a number of years located in South East Asia and also spans Europe, South America, the Caribbean. With extensive knowledge of the United Kingdom strategic transport planning sector, Paul has valuable insights on many of the issues the United Kingdom has confronted that are now facing Australia and New Zealand, such as the future of PPP’s, road pricing, managed motorways and public transport planning and delivery.
