The next meeting of the Roads Australia Capacity Policy Chapter is proudly hosted by the Queensland Department of Main Roads.
The following issues will be discussed at the workshop:
- More consistency of procurement/documentation
- Reducing cost of tendering and delivery of projects
- How to gain commitment from all levels of government to rolling five-year works programs, published on an annual basis
- Recognition of pre-qualifications across jurisdictions
- Attracing and retaining people to industry
- Improved east coast planning
- Materials/equipment supply, including recognising new products
- All levels of government working co-operatively with indsutry to plan and deliver - a Roads Alliance model.
