Michael Daley was elected to the NSW Parliament in September 2005 to represent the electorate of Maroubra.
Mr Daley was sworn in as Minister for Roads on 8 September 2008.
Prior to his election to Parliament, Mr Daley was a Senior Corporate Lawyer employed by NRMA Motoring & Services.
Prior to this he was in private legal practice for 5 years.
Before becoming a lawyer, Mr Daley spent 13 years working as a Customs officer with the Australian Customs Service.
Mr Daley was also a Councillor on Randwick City Council for 13 years during which time he was Deputy Mayor for 4 years.
Mr Daley holds a Diploma of Law from the Barristers' and Solicitors Admission Board. As well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales as a legal practitioner in 1998.
