Members’ survey gives ARF the thumbs up

A comprehensive survey of ARF’s membership has found that the organisation is on track with its focus and delivery of services.

Eighty per cent of respondents believe ARF is doing a great job in keeping them in touch with activities, and more than 60 per cent give strong support to the Annual Conference and Forum meetings.

In terms of the ARF’s ongoing focus, respondents strongly support the continued creation of opportunities to network with Government decision-makers and potential clients, as well being kept informed of industry activities and news.

Nearly 60 per cent of respondents want the ARF to play a stronger role in terms of policy advocacy and public profile, and 83 per cent want the organisation to continue to focus its scope and membership on industry players of national significance.

On the communications front, 60 per cent of respondents say they read the ARF supplement in Roads magazine and 79 per cent of respondents have visited the ARF website.

The findings of the national survey were discussed at the ARF's March Board meeting in Melbourne.

ARF CEO, Ian Webb, says the survey results will be used to help determine and develop future services and activities.

“While we are pleased with the general endorsement of ARF’s focus to date, we are intent on moving forward in the areas where members want us to be more active, such as policy development and raising our public profile,” he says.
