ARF nominates Queensland Main Roads Engineer for IRF Fellowship

ARF has nominated Mr Gavin Soward for the IRF Fellowship for 2007. Gavin is currently Principal Engineer, Road Surfacings with the Queensland Department of Main Roads. He has been assessed by the selection committee and the Department's Chief Engineer as an extremely competent engineer who is on track for a distinguished career in transport infrastructure. Gavin is 34 years old, with 11 years practical experience and is at the right stage of his career development to benefit from the postgraduate development which the IRF fellowship offers.

Mr Soward says he is honoured to be nominated by ARF for the fellowship.
"If successful with the scholarship I will be pursuing interests in relation to business management and hopefully finding time look at US research into long life asphalt pavements.
