RA welcomes Victorian infrastructure priority list

Roads Australia welcomes the inclusion of critical transport infrastructure projects on the Victorian Government’s latest submission to Infrastructure Australia.

Projects like the East West Link, the removal of critical level crossings and the Managed Motorways program, together with other significant freight and rail projects on the list, will help address congestion and improve the livability of Melbourne, says RA Chief Executive, Ian Webb.

“The Baillieu Government deserves to be congratulated for its foresight and commitment to these transformational transport infrastructure projects,” Mr Webb said.

“They address areas of critical need and will make Melbourne and Victoria a better place to live and work.

“We would urge Infrastructure Australia to give serious consideration to these projects and, over the longer term, work closely with the Victorian Government and private sector to unlock the necessary funding and financing options.”
