The International Road Federation (IRF) is currently seeking nominations for the 2007 Global Road Achievement Awards.
The Awards recognise excellence in road development worldwide and seek to raise the benchmark for road technology.
The Awards cover 12 categories - Research; Design; Innovative Finance; Technology, Equipment & Manufacturing; Program Management; Advocacy and Lobbying; Environmental Mitigation; Construction Methodology; Maintenance Management; Safety; Traffic Management and Intelligent Transportation Systems; and Quality Management.
ARF Chief Executive, Ian Webb, says the Awards present a wonderful opportunity for members to showcase the best of Australian road technology and engineering on the international stage.
Nominations close on May 1, 2007. There is no limit to the number of entries an organisation can submit, and projects that have been recognised in other award programs can be nominated.
