Infrastructure WA was established last July to provide expert advice and assistance to the State Government on infrastructure matters, and specifically to develop WA 's first State Infrastructure Strategy.
Acting CEO Lance Glare joins us for the first time to provide an update on progress towards the 20-year Strategy.

Lance Glare, A/Chief Executive Officer - Infrastructure WA
Lance has been in charge of Infrastructure WA since its commencement in July 2019, working closely with staff and the Board to establish Infrastructure WA and develop Western Australia's first State Infrastructure Strategy.
Before taking on his current role, Lance led a number of key infrastructure and economic reforms in a senior role with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. This included the design and creation of Infrastructure WA; the first whole-of government policy for Market-led Proposals for WA; preparing a State Economic Development Framework - Diversify WA; and negotiations with the Commonwealth and Infrastructure Australia on Federal infrastructure funding.
Lance has more than 20 years' experience across the three levels of government in four States and Territories, including leading the development of the first Queensland Infrastructure Plan and an associated Economic Development Strategy. He holds qualifications in public administration, project management and the built environment, and is an alumnus of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
