Steve Cornish, Chief Operating Officer, Major Road Projects Victoria
As the Chief Operating Officer at Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV), Steve Cornish oversees the leadership and delivery of MRPV’s multibillion-dollar program of projects. Steve has been integral in the development and implantation of MRPVs new Program Delivery Approach procurement model, creating innovative change in how projects are procured and delivered across the roads sector.
Prior to his work with MRPV, Steve was Program Director managing Transurban’s $3bn NorthConnex tunnels in Sydney as well as Alliance General Manager across 3 major Alliances for Laing O’Rourke and Thiess:
· Level Crossing Removal Project’s North East Program Alliance
· Footscray to Deer Park section of Regional Rail Link
· Tulla-Sydney Rd section of the M80 Ring Road Upgrade.
His previous major project experience also includes the West Gate Freeway upgrade and, in the UK, Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and the London Tunnels sections of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.
